Wit Slingers（ウィット・スリンガーズ）は、タイメンが友人や家族のためにバッグを作ったことから始まりました。
その情熱は2021年にブランドとして形となり、今ではドイツ・ライプツィヒのスタジオで、彼自身の手によってすべてのバッグがデザイン・縫製されています。
ブリトーハウスがこのブランドを紹介したいと思った理由は、その独特な色づかいにあります。アメリカ的な派手さでもなく、ヨーロッパ的なミニマルさとも違う。ちょうどその間にあるようで、どこにも属さないような、不思議な魅力をまとっているブランドです。
タイメンは工業デザインを学び、自転車が大好きで、ものづくりへの深いこだわりを持っています。現在は、デンマークのMatias Stridslandとのコラボレーションにも取り組んでおり、2024年にはヨーロッパ最大級のハンドメイド自転車ショー「Bespoked」で最優秀バッグ賞を受賞しました。
最初に彼とやり取りを始めたのは2022年の夏。そこから約3年かけて、日本で紹介できるようになったことを嬉しく思います。

Wit Slingers began when Tijmen started making bags for friends and family. In 2021, that passion took shape as a brand. Today, every bag is designed and sewn by his own hands in his studio in Leipzig, Germany.
We were drawn to Wit Slingers for its distinctive use of color. It’s not flashy like something from the U.S., nor is it minimalist in the European sense. It lives somewhere in between—yet also feels like it belongs to neither. That quiet, unplaceable charm is what makes the brand so compelling.
Tijmen studied industrial design, loves cycling, and has a deep dedication to making things by hand. He’s currently collaborating with Matias Stridsland from Denmark, and in 2024, his work received the Best Bag Award at Bespoked—Europe’s leading handmade bicycle show.
We first reached out to him in the summer of 2022. Nearly three years later, we’re happy to finally be sharing his work in Japan.
Here’s a message from Tijmen to everyone in Japan: “I’ve long been fascinated by Japanese cycling culture. My NJS-certified Level Super Professional is one of my favorite bikes. The fact that my bags are now making their way to Japan—it honestly means a lot to me.”
